I can't wait for April to get here!

It's going to be an awesome month...it has to be...it's definitely going to kick off with a bang! My best most wonderful friend will be here from Michigan the first week in April...and this time, she's bringing both kids and the hubby! I can't wait for them to be here! She'll also be here for both mine and Luke's birthdays - I couldn't think of a better present!

My Sweet Luke

My poor sweet little man. He's so sick. Stomach virus AND ear infection. Here he is, waiting not-so-patiently in the doctor's office.

Raising a Child

It's been said that raising a child is akin to riding a rollercoaster...full of ups and downs, confusing twists and turns, screams of fear and above all else, squeals of delight.

How true.

St. Louis!

Ahhh, what a wonderful week! Our friends, the Hickmans, came from St. Louis to visit us this past week. It was a blast...hectic...but a blast! There were 9, yes NINE people living in my house for the week. 4 adults, 1 teenager, 2 three year olds, and 2 infants.

Mr. Beefy rockin the walker

We took the kids to see the Firetruck. They loved trying on all the different gear, although, the coolest thing about the truck to them was the big flashlight!

We also went to the Museum of Fine Arts. That's a really cool place! Especially if it's a cold rainy day and the kids are driving you crazy!

What do you get when you cross a hyper kid with a husband who doesn't know how to shoot manually? A really cool picture, in this case!

In the color dance room...I could stay in this place the whole time!

Thanks for coming down y'all!

And Baby Makes Three!

I had the pleasure this past Saturday of meeting my new friends Amanda, Troy and Grady out at Shakespeare. Such a happy little family...and that little man...oh his cheeks!

Almost Four Beautiful Years...

since we said "I Do." I love you Lee.

Hey y'all!

My boss and I were out taking pictures of trees we've planted this season and I decided to fool around a little. If you want to check out what we've been up to, take a look at the trees running down the north side of South Street (American Hornbeams, Eastern Hop Hornbeams and Chinese Pistache) and across Bibb/Madison from the new Convention Center (Willow and Nuttall oaks).

Mine by Default

This was my grandmother's piano. I have a picture of me sitting at it with her when I was about three. When my Mom and Dad moved up here to be near my kids (note I didn't say to be near me...) there was not a "place" for it in the house they built. So I got it. :)

The Challenge continues...

Thanks to internet issues at home, I've not kept the blog up-to-date on the picture a day challenge. This challenge has amazed me...only a week into it, and I've already learned some great technical information from the other members, not to mention how much I've been inspired by their creativity!

Here are my latest additions to the challenge:

Scott Bottle

Alabama Snow

The Challenge

So a wonderful friend talked me into joining her and a group of her photographer buddies for a 365 Day Challenge. The deal is that you take a picture a day. We have a group on Flickr where we all post our pictures, but I thought in addition to posting there, I'd throw them on here as well. Since I got a bit of a late start, I posted three today:

This grumpy old racecar I once knew...

I admit it. I love Cars as much as my three year old does. We've watched it an estimated 693 times, and I still laugh my hiny off!

The Kitchen Table

Time Flies

:le sigh: I wish my boys would stay little forever.
