Seriously Cool *or* Strangely Disturbing?

I have this ultra cool May Bride who has sent me lots of images from the net that she'd like me to draw inspiration from for her big day. Here's one of them:

I wish I knew who to credit this image to, because I'd like to send them an email telling them what a kick I've gotten out of this! I think it's hilarious! My best friend Leda, however, finds it "disturbing on SO many levels." She does say this with a slight giggle.

The Wedding Cake is my favorite part of the reception...I find myself at every wedding thinking throughout the day...I wonder what their cake will look like? So in honor of my...love/attraction/fascination...with this aspect of a wedding, I went in search of the latest wedding cake fashions.

I found what I was looking for on the knot, that almost-overwhelm-you-with-any-and-everything-you-could-ever-want-to-know-about-wedding mega site.

How to Get Your 3 Year Old to Behave in Wal-Mart

So, for those of you who know Cole on a personal level, you know that the child has two gears: GO and STOP. This past weekend, we were at Wal-Mart (imagine that!) and of course, Coleton was not having a thing to do with riding in the buggy. UNTIL he found this empty paper towel box. He rode the entire time in this thing. We got some strange looks, but did not care. Then of course, he put in for Luke to ride with him. We put Luke in with him (to the back where he could not crawl out of course) and the two boys sat in that thing and played and played and played. The box came home with us.

We’re debating it becoming a standard take-along on store trips. :)

August Wedding: Brandy & Chris

What an amazing couple...best friends for years...dated other people...constantly comparing the other people to each other. Then finally realizing what they had together and deciding to tie the knot!

It's going to be a gorgeous chocolate-latte-mocha (yummy!) wedding at Tannehill State Park in this really cool really old country church. A really cool bonus? That very same day, the Birmingham Bug Blast will be there, put on by the Central Alabama VW Club. To see pics from the event last year, click here. I wonder if I could convince the VW owners...not to mention the Bride and Groom...into having a little fun with pictures?!?

Congratulations Cheryl & Stafford!

A beautiful Lake Martin wedding on March 15th. The water levels were up, after a scary start to the day the weather turned out to be just perfect, and the couple was so in love it was crazy!

Love weddings in October - perfect weather and gorgeous fall color! Rachel's already sent me some ideas of shots she wants from her wedding...this is one seriously cool bride! The day is gonna be a blast!

Say Cheese!

Cole had his first cleaning back in mid-February. He did awesome! I was really shocked at how well he sat there and let Kelley do everything she needed to do. Being the wonderful mom and photographer that I am, I forgot to take my camera with me. But the ladies at Dr. Scott Harris' office were great (as always) and pulled out the office camera to get a shot of Cole's first cleaning for me. I was SO excited when I opened up my email today and the picture was in there waiting for me.

Happy Birthday April!

Her actual birthday was the 26th, but we all gathered Saturday to celebrate. Lunch at Applebee's, cake at Loree's, then playing at the park...and getting stuck in the swing...but that's a whole different story...

P.S. Ignore the candles on the cake, she's really only 21.
