Cool Finds in Downtown Montgomery

My boss and I went out today to get some pictures for our Division Christmas card. While we were kicking around Klein Park (the pocket park in Downtown Montgomery at One Court Square) we ran across a really cool (to us anyway :) grate...it had some ground cover growing down into it.

What's the last thing you expect to find when you go to plant a tree?

On Lawrence Street, at the Compass Bank building, concrete was removed in order to add a tree to the downtown streetscape. Lo and behold, once the concrete was removed, a piece of plywood was covering this portal to the underworld. Our fearless Christy was the first to go explore.

Oops! It's a little dark down here!

The Blair Witch Forester joined the exploration...

Someone call Ghost Hunters! It's ORBS!!!

And finally: the emergence.

:le sigh: I'm just jealous I wasn't there...
