October Wedding: Christin & David

He's a chef, she's in retail. The above picture was taken when they were cooking their first meal together 3 1/2 years ago. Hmmm...I wonder how long a free wedding would get me my own personal chef? ;)

The wedding is in Auburn (War Eagle!) at Lakeview Baptist with the reception at Moore's Mill Club. Gorgeous!

Watch for Christin & David's e-pics coming soon!

Playing at the Park

Last weekend (yes I'm way behind posting this one) I took my niece Whitney out to Village Green. She wanted to learn a little bit more about photography, so we went out, shot a bit, and had lots of fun! She did a great job too! Take a look at a few pictures she took:

Playing around with focus...she caught on right away!

And with Lee being at work, and my sister-in-law not feeling well, my other niece Kayla and her friend Megan came with us to play with the boys. Thanks girls!

Congratulations Christen & Eric!

A simple, elegant wedding on February 16. The Bride and Groom were so sweet with each other...well, except for the whole cake-smearing mishap, haha! I hope you guys are having fun in the mountains! See you soon!

Calling All Guys! About to pop the question? Capture the Moment!

About to pop the question? Let me tag along!

Discreetly, that is - she'll never know I'm there! Through careful planning, I can photograph the entire engagement experience for you and your bride-to-be! After you've proposed, you can give her the second surprise of the day and let her in on our little secret! After she gets over the shock of realizing her actual engagement was photographed, we can have a full blown photo session. Your love for each other will be more apparent than ever before and will shine through in your photographs - what a fabulous way to document the start of your life together!

Included in this session is a free Hi-Res image on CD. This means that you own the image and can do whatever you like with it...print it as much as you want without going through me, use it on the internet, use it for your newspaper announcement, etc. Of course, all other images from the session are available for purchase, or you can simply order whatever prints you'd like to have.

Also, booking this session entitles you to $100 off any of my wedding packages should you decide to let me photograph your wedding as well!

Call me! I'd love to work out the details with you and help you arrange the second best gift you'll give your fiance on your engagement day!

Oh, and if you haven't bought the ring yet, go see Tom Neville. You won't find a better diamond at a better price!

My Latest Bride: Rachel

Congratulations Rachel and Bradley!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel, her sister and her mother. We looked at photographs, talked about what Rachel wanted from her wedding photography and came up with a course of action for the day! It's going to be a beautiful ceremony and reception at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn in July 2008. I'm stoked that they chose me to capture the memories of their important day!

Stay tuned: Rachel & Bradley's E-Pics coming soon!

Could You? Would You? Trash the Dress!

Have you heard of this?

One of the hottest new trends in wedding photography right now is Trash The Dress. Basically the bride decides to give her dress a proper send off by getting it wet, dirty, or doing stuff you'd never dream of doing in your wedding dress, like climb a tree, lay down in the grass or sit on the railroad tracks. How fun is that?!! The idea is that after the wedding (usually the day after, but some couples choose to wait until after the honeymoon) the photographer takes the couple to the beach, forest, around the city, etc., and gets all kinds of awesome shots where the bride is no longer worried about ruining her dress.

Sound like a cool idea that you'd like to do, but you don't want to ruin your wedding dress? You're not alone! Lots of brides purchase cheap dresses for the simple reason of being able to do these photos.

Click HERE, HERE, and HERE to see examples.

Want to try it? I've never shot one of these sessions, and I'm dying to! The first three brides that CONTACT ME will get their session free, as well as half off any ordered prints or Hi-Res DVD of your session.
